Susan has an extensive 29-year career in law enforcement, during which she has received comprehensive training in various areas, including burglary, robbery, and homicide. While she has developed skills across these fields, her primary area of expertise lies in investigating white-collar crimes. Susan began her law enforcement career with the San Gabriel Police Department, where she built a solid foundation in criminal investigation. Over time, she transitioned into a specialized role, dedicating the last 17 years of her career to working for the San Bernardino County and later Riverside County District Attorney’s Offices.
In these positions, she focused on investigating fraud within the insurance industry, particularly in cases involving workers’ compensation, medical provider fraud, and auto insurance fraud. Her deep involvement in these cases has positioned her as a highly respected figure within the field of insurance fraud investigation. Susan’s expertise is particularly well-known in the area of workers’ compensation fraud, where she has become an industry-recognized expert.
Her reputation as a leader in this field was further solidified during her time serving on a task force for the California Department of Insurance. In this role, she spent several years working closely with other experts to combat workers’ compensation fraud on a statewide level, earning a reputation as the foremost authority on the subject. Doug brings 27 years of investigative expertise from the Los Angeles Police Department, retiring from the Major Crimes Division with a broad experience in handling high-profile cases such as homicides, cyber crimes, and more. His career highlights include specialized skills in infrastructure security and event threat analysis for major events like the Oscars and Grammy Awards. Doug now leads Virtual Cyber Cop, focusing on cyber crime solutions.
